Introduction

Have you ever wondered whether hardships break a person or make them stronger? Sugreev Roman is someone who, despite facing physical challenges, loneliness, and limited resources, never let his dreams fade away. His story proves that with unwavering determination, a person can carve out their own path, no matter the circumstances. Hailing from Uttarakhand, India, Sugreev is currently striving to create a unique identity in the music world as an Independent Indian Music Artist.

Early Life

Sugreev Roman was born on July 22, 2005, in Uttarakhand, India. His childhood was normal and filled with happiness. The love of his family and a simple life were the cornerstones of his early years. However, after the age of 10, his life took an unexpectedly difficult turn. Due to a severe health issue, he became physically disabled (handicapped), which caused significant difficulties in his mobility. This was an incredibly challenging period for both him and his family.

Education & Struggle

Despite his physical limitations, Sugreev refused to give up. He continued his studies with immense courage and completed his 12th-grade education. Unfortunately, due to certain circumstances, he could not pursue further studies. After this, a phase arrived where he couldn't step out of the house much. Most of his time was spent indoors—listening to music, eating, and resting. This routine lasted for about two years, leaving him feeling deeply lonely on the inside.

Turning Point Towards Music

Amidst this profound loneliness, while listening to music one day, a thought crossed his mind: > "When I can listen to others' songs, why shouldn't I write about the feelings in my own heart?" This was the true beginning of his musical journey. In 2024, he began writing his own songs. Lacking the financial resources to record in a professional music studio, he started recording tracks on his mobile phone and gradually taught himself how to produce music.

Music Style & Creativity

Sugreev's songs are deeply rooted in his personal life experiences. He has experimented with various musical genres, including:

  • Hip Hop

  • Rap

  • Emo (Emotional)

  • Indie Pop

He also utilized AI tools to some extent to understand how to enhance the audio quality of his tracks and figure out what resonates well with listeners.

First Official Release

His biggest hurdle was officially releasing his music, as he did not have the necessary funds. That is when he discovered RouteNote, a platform that provides free music distribution for artists. Through this platform, Sugreev released his debut song, "Meri Maa Meri Dua," in December 2025. This became the most memorable moment of his life, marking his official entry into the music industry.

To date, Sugreev Roman has released 5 songs across various digital streaming platforms, including:
